What happens if you, or somebody you know has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon? This is also known as, Penal Code 245.
Assault with a deadly weapon can be charged as both a misdemeanor, which could involve jail time, or a felony, which could involve prison time. This type of crime happens when someone has been assaulted and a deadly weapon has been used.
A deadly weapon could pretty much be anything, it could be a knife, a firearm, a bat, or a car. Some of the defenses to this type of case is that you were acting in self defense, mistaken identity, or a deadly weapon wasn’t even used.
At Lamano Law Office, our goal is to determine whether or not any of these defenses apply to you. Please give us a call to see if we can help and thanks for listening.
